vystupuje ako sólista aj ako komorný hráč. Účinkoval na mnohých hudobných festivaloch (Varšavská jeseň, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Carinthischer Sommer, Allegro Vivo, Kwartesencja, Forum Gitarre Wien, Vroclavský gitarový Festival…). Ako sólista spolupracoval s orchestrami: Štátna filharmónia vo Varšave, Vroclavský komorný orchester, Concerto Avenna, Capella Bydgostiensis, Camerata Nova, Fresco Sonare, Sinfonietta Cracovia a Chopinov akademický orchester. Hral tiež s Komorným súborom Štátnej filharmónie, Royal String Quartet a Wiener Instrumentalsolisten a bol členom New Tango Bridge a New Art Ensemble. Je spoluzakladateľom a členom medzinárodného gitarového kvarteta Guitar4mation, ktoré sa špecializuje na hudbu 20. a 21. storočia, vrátane repertoáru kombinujúceho súčasnú hudbu a jazz. Od roku 2015 je členom súboru Hirundo Maris, ktorý založili Arianna Savall a Petter Udland Johansen (CD produkcie: „Il Viaggio d’Amore“, „The Wind Rose“).

Michał Nagy hráva v duetách s gitaristom Marcinom Siatkowskim, huslistom Robertom Kabarom, hobojistom Arkadiuszom Krupom, akordeonistom a bandoneonistom Klaudiuszom Baranom. Vytvoril niekoľko sólových nahrávok pre Poľský rozhlas a televíziu. Je autorom mnohých gitarových aranžmánov pre sólovú gitaru aj gitaru s komorným orchestrom a pracuje tiež ako editor pre Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne. Spolupracuje s divadlom Juliusza Słowackeho v Krakove, pre ktoré tvorí scénickú hudbu, a nahrával pre nahrávacie spoločnosti Sony Music (cena Fryderyk v roku 2002 za nahrávku Piazzollovho Tanga), Dux (nominované na cenu Fryderyk v roku 2000 za Micro piezas), Polskie Nagrania Edition, Carpe Diem Records a viedenské vydavateľstvo Gramola.

Je laureátom medzinárodných gitarových súťaží vo Fiuggi, Gdansku, Krakove a Tychách. Dvakrát dostal štipendium poľskej Kultúrnej nadácie. Získal cenu Malopoľského regiónu „Ars Quaerendi 2010“ za výnimočné aktivity v oblasti propagácie a popularizácie kultúry. Od roku 1997 vyučuje na Hudobnej akadémii v Krakove, od roku 2006 ako ArtD. Od roku 2008 je umeleckým riaditeľom festivalu Terra Artis Festival v Lanckorone, neďaleko Krakova.
